Although real friendship is rare and hard to find, you'll know it when you find it. It's about giving of yourself freely, to and with another person. It is not done with the expectation of getting something in return. You know that when you're needy, what you've given will be returned triple, at least. It's often said that if you have one true friend you're lucky. I am blessed to have found several in my life time. A very special one was Latha. The sisterhood we shared was a priceless gift. I'm so grateful God bought us together. Our friendship spanned over 40 years. We were family. Although she wanted to live and be a testimony, the life she lived WAS a testimony. She gave so much of her time, talents, energy, money, food and love to others/us. Her sudden illness and quick demise has left us unbalanced. However, her faith sustained her til the end strengthened by her love for the Lord. What a marvelous thing. What a testimony.

I Love You Mommy.
It was just yesterday that you had me. It's so hard to believe and accept that you are physically gone from this Earth. I expect to see you and hear you. Instead I'm reminded we must all take this journey. I'm reminded I have wonderful memories. I'm told I remind others of you. I find myself questioning but am reminded of God's promise on our lives. I am reminded that we are just a vapor and then I am reminded that life in heaven will last forever. I am comforted and proud to know you made your life count against adverse conditions.
